PU-RCSI Interview sharing-Perdana University

Well I actually got this interview on 11.6.2012 They just call my father and told us that I am having an interview that day and hope I can be there around nine am. So like usual I search for what is the university is about and study some of it's history^^
here is one of the websites you can get a lot of informations^^

Before I went to the interview,
I get a ride from my aunt who came back to Penang to visit my grandparents to KL. (she stays in Shah Alam). She took us to a really delicious restaurant called spring gold restaurant. Then we went to her holiday villa. It was way awesome it has a lake side view and it was quite windy there.(not hot). After we relax for a while we go for dinner on 6pm at the jia xiang restaurant. My aunt says that in kl eating together and call dishes is more affordable and delicious. However one thing make us laugh. My cousin ordered kekwa teh and the waiter actually get him a COla because he thought my cousin ordered coke! We have the most unique drink I ever had, which is pumpkin barli green pea juice. Wow! I don't know how to describe the taste it was a bit like Chatime drinks. lol

The Big Day
There was some problem finding where is perdana university at first but i still manage to be punctual. The Perdana University actuallt located in UPM in MARDI and then you just follow the road sign that shows you to the MAEPS building. The main point is when you reach the main gate do not go straight! just go in and then straight away turn left on the first turning. There maybe some uphill and downhill but after that you will see a big building with a big Perdana University sign!
When you first step in, go to the receptionist and register your name. Tell you something, I am the only non-muslim wearing the baju kurung and it was a bit awkward at first when you saw everyone wears like professionals. But I don't care anyway as long as I am comfortable that's it!
Well after like an hour they call all 13 of us into a library to do some kind of english test. We need to answer 60 question in 30 minutes. So try to work quickly but not too rush, just be careful as there are some tricky question inside too. Overall nothing serious.

Interview session
At first everyone already have the heart going into the interview room straight away after the test, but surprisingly we have to wait for about 45 minutes before the first one was called for the interview. So we become more relax and make ourselves comfortable in there. I am the third last to be called into the interview room. My hand was already shaking as it was cold outside and there are only 3 students waiting so the air movement increases where the temperature drops...(Sorry, back to the point)I have 2 interviewers who are both Irish and friendly too. They asked several questions, some surprised me and some regarding your honesty question.

1. Tell me about yourself and your family background(this question come up in every interview I went through before so no big deal)+ they asked about your co=curricular activities a bit.

2. Why you choose medicine?

3. Why you choose Perdana University?(Just do some homework ok?)

4. Did you expose to clinical experience or a trip in the hospital before?

5. What are the curricular skems for PU-RCSI?(remember must talk about RCSI don't add in any points about perdana PUGSOM)

6. What are your strengths and weaknesses? (Please remember not to ruin this up, remember to prepare for every possibility although I already shared some here)

7. If you are not given a scholarship but being offered a place in Perdana, will you choose Perdana or other Universities?

8. What other Universities did you apply for?

Then we have some chit chat for a while, they didn't even flip the file containing certificates that I brought along with me.==Then they asked whether I would like to ask any questions before I exit the room.

So it was really quite fun and a kind friend from Kepong (just meet as we have the same interview session) give us a lift to the bus terminal. They are so kind although we just met, consider me lucky to meet them^^

All the best to those who will be going for this interview! Just be yourself and be confident everything sure goes smooth and sassy.. XD
