So I go on9 to find all abt it, its true!(of course la) This also help me discover that medic is a though subject to take. gambateh to all who are taking medicine!

Hypertrichosis
Classification and external resources

Hypertrichosis (also called Ambras syndrome) is an abnormal amount of hair growth on the body; extensive cases of hypertrichosis have informally been called werewolf syndrome. The two distinct types of hypertrichosis are generalized hypertrichosis, which occurs over the entire body, and localized hypertrichosis, which is restricted to a certain area.
Hypertrichosis can be either congenital (present at birth) or acquired later in life.
The excess growth of hair occurs in areas of the skin with the exception of androgen-dependent hair of the pubic area, face, and axillary regions.

Several circus sideshow performers in the 19th and early 20th centuries, such as Julia Pastrana, had hypertrichosis. Many of them worked as freaks and were promoted as having distinct human and animal traits.

Pruthviraj Patil
Pruthviraj Patil was born to a well off farmer in the Indian district of Sangali which is near Mumbai, with the "Werewolf Syndrome" due to which he has all his face and body covered in thick matted hair. He and his parents have tried various traditional Ayurvedic remedies, laser surgeries and homeopathy, to cure the disease but none of them have worked

Signs and symptoms

The primary characteristic of all forms of hypertrichosis is excess hair.
Hair in hypertrichosis is usually longer than expected and may consist of any hair type (lanugo, vellus, or terminal). Patterned forms of hypertrichosis cause hair growth in patterns. Generalized forms of hypertrichosis result in hair growth over the entire body. Circumscribed and localized forms lead to hair growth restricted to a certain area.

Differential diagnosis

Genetic
Patterns of inheritance of males with sex linked forms of hypertrichosis

Hypertrichosis lanuginosa
Congenital hypertrichosis lanuginosa may be caused by a mutation on the 8q chromosome;
however, it could also be possibly the result of a spontaneous genetic mutation rather than inheritance.
This form is a dominant autosomal (not located on the sex chromosomes) cutaneous disorder, that affects the skin.

Generalized hypertrichosis
Congenital generalized hypertrichosis has a dominant pattern of inheritance and has been linked to chromosome x24-q27.1.
An affected female (carrying the hypertrichosis gene) has a 50% chance of passing it to her offspring. An affected male will pass this form of hypertrichosis to his daughters, but never the sons.

Generalized hypertrichosis terminalis
Congenital generalized hypertrichosis terminalis is thought to be caused by genetic changes on chromosome 17 resulting in the addition or removal of millions of nucleotides. The gene MAP2K6 may be a factor contributing to this condition. This condition may also be due to the change in the chromosome affecting the transcription of genes.

Fedor Jeftichew
Born in 1868 in St. Petersburg, Russia, Fedor Jeftichew was indeed such a boy…Jo Jo The Dog Faced Boy to be exact, and despite sporting a warm and fuzzy nature that some would consider to be less than a blessing, Fedor made quite a life for himself, achieving world wide fame and fortune as he worked his act with P.T. Barnum from the age of 16. He also spoke Russian, German and English

Su Kong T'ai Jin
Su Kong able to complete every branch of Shaolin training, learning and mastering hundreds of forms and disciplines. It was an unparalleled achievement. His area of specialty was the most deadly of all arts, Tien Shieh Kung (death touch).

Medical conditions
Acquired hypertrichosis lanuginosa is commonly present with cancer.[24] This condition is also linked to metabolic disorders, such as anorexia, hormone imbalances, such as hyperthyroidism, or as a side effect of certain drugs.[24]

Acquired generalized hypertrichosis may be caused by cancer. The resulting hair growth is known as malignant down. The mechanism behind cancer induced hypertrichosis is unknown.
Oral and topical minoxidil treatments are also known to cause acquired generalized hypertrichosis.

Medications
Acquired localized hypertrichosis
Minoxidil, a medicine for preventing hair loss, is thought to trigger acquired localized hypertrichosis. Medication-induced hair changes are often reversible.
